Fishing
The Limousin region is famously known as the Lake District of France with numerous lakes and rivers offering Coarse and Fly fishing enthusiasts pike, perch, trout, roach, and tench and has challenges for both the beginner and experienced fisherman.

Tours & Festivals

The “Plus Beaux Villages” Ségur–le-Châteaux
Is one of the most beautiful medieval villages in the Limousin and a 30 minute drive. It is not to be missed if you are touring this area.
WWII Village of Oradour sur Glane
For a striking and thought-provoking reminder of the evils of war, take a trip north west of Limoges to visit the ruined village of Oradour-sur-Glane. It stands as a moving twentieth century shrine for inhabitants massacred there in WWII.
Bergerac Vineyard Visits
For more information about the local wines, or more sampling, you can visit the ‘Maison du Vin’ next to the river in Bergerac. Visit September or October when the grape harvest begins and it is less crowded and cooler or for committed gourmets, the black truffle season, December to March is an ideal time to plan a visit. There are so many lovely châteaux to visit in the region that it is difficult to pick out a few to list. Decide which direction to head in and then discover the châteaux en route!
